 Kick-Starting a Climate-Friendly Prosperity

With its ambitious programme for the Bundestag elections, the German Green Party aims to create a new impetus towards a ‘climate-friendly prosperity’, with a mix of incentives for innovation, regulation and CO2 pricing. The party plans to introduce an immediate climate protection programme, an expansion of renewable energies, a mobility and agricultural turnaround, and a transformation fund for regions. In her address to the IIEA, Dr Franziska Brantner discusses the Green Party’s ambition to invest heavily in climate-neutral technology, stimulate innovation, and to use the European Green Deal and the EU Recovery Fund to help propel Europe towards a social-ecological economy.
