Development Matters
Development Matters is a well-established IIEA lecture series sponsored by Irish Aid which explores critical issues in international development. The Development Matters lecture series provides a platform for international policy figures and thought leaders to share their insights and expertise, and in doing so to bring development issues to the attention of a wider Irish, European and international audiences.
The Development Matters series provides a unique opportunity for Irish stakeholders to both engage in critical discussion of the international development agenda with global leaders in the field, and communicate their priorities in development practices to the public.
This comprehensive programme, featuring high-level speakers, addresses critical issues of international development including: the Sustainable Development Goals; partnerships for development; global health; global food systems; gender-sensitive education; youth in international development; poverty; climate action; and communicating development in the media.
