Environmental Resilience
Throughout the course of the Environmental Resilience series, international experts will address topics such as the circular economy, air quality, environmental governance, the bioeconomy, sustainable waste management, water quality and climate change.
EPA and IIEA
This series, which is co-organised by the EPA, seeks to bring all environmental stakeholders behind a collective message of resilience which emphasises both the individual and societal mandate for good stewardship of the planet - everyone has a role to play. At present, there is a considerable opportunity for policy makers, business leaders, and citizens to decouple environmental harm from economic growth and chart a sustainable future. By building on new perceptions of our shared environment and pursuing policies which improve air quality and water sustainability, which prioritise a new circular economy, and which raise the standards of environmental protection, society can move from a fragile status quo and develop environmental resilience.
