Creative Officer - Future Proofing Europe

Job description

The Institute of International and European Affairs is Ireland’s leading international affairs think tank. We are an independent, not-for-profit organisation with charitable status. Our aim is to provide a forum for all those interested in EU and International affairs to engage in debate and discussion, and to evaluate and share policy options.

Our extensive research and events programmes provide members with policy insights, analysis and context to help shape vital decisions about Ireland’s strategic direction and future. The IIEA’s role is to identify key European and international trends and priorities, which will inform the work of Ireland’s decision makers and business leaders, and enrich the public debate on Ireland’s role in the EU and on the global stage.

About the role

The Institute is now seeking applications for the full-time position of Creative Officer for the Future Proofing Europe Project, supported by the Department of Foreign Affairs. You will conceptualise, design and produce material for all aspects of the project. You will assist in public outreach and internal events. You will also develop effective social media campaigns. You will help the Communications teams to promote the work of the project.

What you’ll do

  • Support the implementation of campaigns surrounding the Future Proofing Europe Project
  • Develop engaging promotional materials including video animation, social media video and reel formats, static imagery, including but not limited to website, email and social media
  • Create print content including brochures, publications and event collateral
  • Manage website content for www.iiea.com
  • Collaborate with the various in-house teams to produce design content where required
  • Work on projects outside of the Future Proofing Europe Programme
  • Support the Creative Team at in-house events

What skills you’ll bring

  • A Creative thinker who brings ideas to improve the output of the project
  • Able to manage and prioritize multiple projects from brief through to completion, in a timely and efficient manner
  • Proactive and enthusiastic. Hungry to grow and progress with an interest in Design trends
  • Proficiency in Adobe In-Design, Illustrator, Photoshop
  • Adobe Premier/After Effects desirable
  • Use of CMS systems, UX and basic coding is also desirable
  • Previous experience using organisation social media accounts is an advantage
  • Strong communication and time management skills are a must
  • Attention to detail is essential
