Brexit Brief 160

While the August break passed without major incident, the internal problems of the DUP and of its leader Sir Jeffrey Donaldson continue, with a DUP colleague suggesting Sir Jeffrey was approaching his own ‘David Trimble moment’ - and that the outcome of the bitter internal struggles within the party will tell us much about where unionism is headed. Meanwhile, polling in Northern Ireland shows increased support for Sinn Fein, Alliance and the DUP, at the expense of the UUP, SDLP and TUV.

The Brexit Brief is written by Tony Brown, IIEA Senior Fellow, on behalf of the IIEA’s UK Expert Group.
