Brexit Brief 157

This edition of the Brexit Brief addresses the position of the UK seven years on from the Brexit Referendum. Northern Ireland is still facing political deadlock as the DUP are resolutely refusing to commit to returning to Stormont until changes are made to the post-Brexit trading arrangements for Northern Ireland. There is some speculation that the DUP may restore powersharing in the autumn, and that the alternative could be joint authority from London and Dublin. Meanwhile, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has cautioned the UK Government about making any unilateral changes to international law in order to address the DUP’s concerns over the Windsor Framework.
