Brexit Brief 133

Prime Minister Boris Johnson survived a no-confidence vote on Monday, 6 June 2022, and remains leader of the Conservative  Party. He won the ballot by 211 votes to 148. Commentators agree that with so many of his MPs opposing him, the task of governing is likely to become more, not less, difficult for Boris Johnson in the months ahead. Meanwhile, the Stormont stalemate continues, and the UK government continues to signal its intention to publish legislation that would unilaterally overhaul the Protocol on Ireland/Northern Ireland.
