As the 24th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement came and went, the Northern Ireland Assembly election campaign continued, with a succession of party manifestos demonstrating a clear recognition that, in the main, voters’ concerns relate to day-to-day issues, notably the cost of living and the future of the NHS in Northern Ireland. Meanwhile, rallies against the Protocol on Ireland/Northern Ireland (the Protocol) have continued to take place in Northern Ireland, and concerns are growing that the British government may move to unilaterally impose changes on the agreement.
