A series of major events in quick succession has brought the Protocol on Ireland/Northern Ireland back to the fore of the news cycle in the UK and EU. Both Lord Frost and Vice-President Šefčovič have presented their proposals for solving the outstanding differences over the Protocol. Intense discussions are expected to follow.
