Brexit Brief 116

As politics resumed after summer break, the UK Command Paper returned to the centre of attention in London, Dublin and Brussels. North-South and East-West relations also gained momentum as the Tánaiste travelled to Northern Ireland for talks with unionist leaders, whilst the Taoiseach was in Oxford for a meeting of the British-Irish Association. It was not only the Irish officials travelling and discussing Brexit: President Macron of France made his way to Dublin and reaffirmed EU solidarity for Ireland. This edition of the Brexit Brief covers these developments, and brings together reaction from the UK, EU and Ireland.

The Brexit Brief is written by Tony Brown, IIEA Senior Fellow, on behalf of the IIEA’s UK Expert Group.
