Sophie Rost is a Research Intern at the Institute, specialising in EU affairs. Prior to joining the Institute, Sophie completed a double bachelor's degree in Law and Philosophy, followed by a master's degree in Economic Law of the European Union at the Sorbonne (Paris 1, France). She recently completed an LL.M. in International and European Business Law at Trinity College Dublin, graduating with First Class Honours.

Her LL.M. dissertation focused on the EU voluntary carbon credit market (Who Pays the Price of Carbon? Ensuring an Ethical Voluntary Carbon Market in the European Union). Her research interests include sustainability, competitiveness and competition law.
