Week 31, 2-6 August 2021

In a Security Council meeting on the drawdown of the UN peacekeeping mission in Sudan on 27 July 2021, Ireland highlighted the importance of the protection of civilians and the implementation of Sudan’s National Protection of Civilians Plan.
EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, released a statement on 27 July 2021 condemning Turkey’s unilateral actions with regard to the situation in Varosha.
