Implementing the Protocol on Ireland/Northern Ireland: The Alliance Party Perspective

About the Speech:

Naomi Long MLA will deliver a webinar address on the on the implementation of the Protocol on Ireland/Northern Ireland. She will reflect on the consequences of Brexit in this respect as well as the challenges and opportunities that Northern Ireland now faces. She will present the perspective of the Alliance Party, a party which does not designate itself as nationalist nor unionist in the Northern Ireland Assembly.

About the Speaker:

Naomi Long MLA is an Alliance politician who represents the constituency of Belfast East. Over the course of her political career, she has served as a Belfast City Councillor, the Lord Mayor of Belfast, a Member of the European Parliament and a Member of the Northern Ireland Assembly. She became the Alliance Party leader in October 2016 and was appointed as the Minister of Justice of Northern Ireland in January 2020.
