Artificial Intelligence: Perceptions and Reality - Accomplishments, Challenges, Prospects, and Risks

In his address to the IIEA, Professor Ernest Davis will seek to  challenge some of the misperceptions about Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. Professor Davis will assess what has been achieved in the field of AI to date and will discuss the future of the field including some of the challenges and opportunities for progress. Professor Davis will also examine the risks posed by AI technology which often arise from AI’s limitations rather than from its intelligence.
