Nonetheless, the official negotiating teams continue to work to find ‘saleable’ solutions, and questions continue to be raised as to whether a new deal will satisfy the DUP and the hard-line Conservative MPs, as well as the EU Member States. Meanwhile, The Observer has revealed that in the UK “an extraordinary cross-party summit” has been held behind closed doors to discuss the failings of Brexit and “how to remedy them in the national interest.”
