Brexit Brief 123

The UK Co-Chair of the Joint Committee and Partnership Council, Lord David Frost, has resigned from the UK Government cabinet. His duties have since been assumed by the Foreign Secretary, Liz Truss. Meanwhile in Brussels, their EU counterpart, European Commission Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič announced plans for the EU to unilaterally change its legislation on medicines in an attempt to overcome the impasse in the discussions on the Protocol’s implication. This edition of the Brexit Brief covers these developments, and brings together reaction from the UK, EU and Ireland. The Brexit Brief, now in its sixth year, is written by Tony Brown, IIEA Senior Fellow, on behalf of the IIEA’s UK Expert Group.
