BRENDAN HALLIGAN EMERGING SCHOLAR ESSAY COMPETITION

The Institute of International and European Affairs (IIEA), Ireland’s leading independent think-tank on international and European affairs, is delighted to launch the Brendan Halligan  Emerging Scholar Essay Competition, which is now open for submissions.

To enter, you must be a registered final-year Undergraduate, Masters or PhD student, attending a third-level institution on the island of Ireland.

The winner will also receive a €1000 prize and will have their essay published on the IIEA’s website.

The entries will be judged by an expert panel on the originality and clarity of their arguments.

Eligible applicants are invited to submit by email an original unpublished essay on the topic ‘Reflections on Ireland and Europe’ which can consider the past present or future relationship between Ireland and Europe.’

To enter, please send your essay and a signed submission form to [email protected].
