Catherine Stihler, MEP and Copyright Rapporteur, Internal Market Committee
Tuesday, 26 September at 8.45a.m.
About the Speech:
In her address, Ms Stihler will outline how the debate surrounding copyright law has shifted since it began in 2015. Referring to a report on the proposal for a directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on copyright in the Digital Single Market, published in February 2017, she will examine what is currently being discussed and what actions are being taken by the Legal Affairs committee (JURI). She will focus on three key areas: text and data mining (TDM), press publishers rights and the ‘value gap.’
