About the Speaker:

Evelyn Regner MEP is Chair of the European Parliament Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality. In May 2019, she was elected to the European Parliament for a third consecutive term. Ms Regner first became an MEP in 2009. During her time at the European Parliament, she has served on the Special Committee on Financial Crimes, Tax Evasion and Tax Avoidance and as Vice-Chair of the Committee on Legal Affairs. Prior to this, MEP Regner worked at the Austrian Trade Union Federation (ÖGB) and was appointed Head of the ÖGB EU and International Department in 2009.
