About the Speaker:
Minister Parker enjoyed a distinguished career in business and law before entering Parliament. He was first appointed to cabinet in 2005. Since October 2017, The Hon David Parker holds four portfolios in Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern’s Government: Trade and Export Growth, Environment, Attorney-General and Associate Finance. Minister Parker graduated with a BCom and LLB from the University of Otago.
