The Future Role of the European Court of Auditors in the EU27

November 12 | 2:45 pm - 4:00 pm

About the Speech:

In the face of Brexit, it has become more important than ever that every euro spent at the European level creates a clear added value for its citizens. On the eve of a new multiannual financial framework, the Union must now position itself well to meet the challenges it will face in the years ahead. It is against this same background that President Klaus-Heiner Lehne will argue that the European Court of Auditors must re-calibrate its position in the institutional system and embrace the required changes in order to future-proof itself.

Please note the later-than-usual start time of 2:45 p.m. for this event.

This event is open to the public as part of the IIEA’s Future of the EU27 Project, which is supported by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
