Looking Forward: The Next European Parliament

May 27 | 8:00 am - 9:30 am

On Monday, 27 May 2019, as the constellation of the next European Parliament becomes apparent, the IIEA will gather an expert panel offering insight and analysis of the key issues arising from the election results. With current polling suggesting a more fragmented European Parliament, the panel will focus on the EU’s law-making machinery and consider what the results will mean for future legislative output. They will also discuss the balance of power between the EU’s institutions and future appointments to top European jobs.

Please note the earlier-than-usual start-time of this event.
