How can we make the European Union work best for all of our citizens? Following the decision of the United Kingdom to leave the EU, and the steady rise of eurosceptic parties in many EU countries, finding an answer to this question is more important than ever. On Tuesday, 20 November 2018 at 6.00p.m. the Institute of International and European Affairs hosted a public event at the Medieval Museum in Waterford, at which the future of the EU was discussed with a panel of leading national politicians and local thought-leaders.

About the Panel:

Joining us for this panel discussion was Grace O’Sullivan, Green Party Senator; Prof. Willie Donnelly, President of Waterford Institute of Technology; and Kieran Walsh, Managing Director of the Munster Express and Director of the Waterford Chamber. The panel was moderated by Eamon Keane, WLR FM.

This event was free of charge and open to the public as part of the IIEA’s Future of the EU27 project, which is supported by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
