Advances in artificial intelligence mean that several forms of employment, once perceived to be secure, are now at risk of automation or elimination. The ability to analyse large volumes of text, for example, was thought to be the exclusive preserve of humans until quite recently, but can now be performed by machines.

Ms Heraty discussed what these developments are likely to mean for the future of employment and how the risks involved can be managed effectively.
