About the Speaker:

Simon Coveney T.D. was appointed Tánaiste on the 30th of November 2017 and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade with responsibility for Brexit on 15 June 2017. Minister Coveney is also the Deputy Leader of Fine Gael and has previously served as Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government and as Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine.
