With the failure to meet the October dateline a special European Council meeting in late November is now seen as essential if ratification of any deal is to be achievable with some comfort. Meanwhile, reports suggest that progress on the backstop may be imminent. Any deal, however, will still have to obtain the consent of the UK Parliament.
Brexit Brief, published by the IIEA’s UK Project Group, covers developments in the on-going debate over the UK’s vote to Leave the European Union. It is part of a wider communications programme, which will be highlighted on the Institute’s website.
