Video Production Officer Post at IIEA

The Institute of International and European Affairs, a leading independent think-tank based in Dublin, Ireland, is seeking a full-time Video Production Officer.  The Video Production Officer will report to the Creative Director as part of the creative team and to the Director of Research. 


The main duties will include (but will not be limited to):

·         Production of in-house Events – Filming, editing, production and publishing videos online.

·         Managing sound mixing desk and lighting during events.

·         Photography during events and post event editing.

·         Website administration - updating CMS and FTP.

·         Manage onsite AV setup and production for out-of-house events and conferences.

·         The skills and experience to create and develop multimedia (audio/video) content for project communications or marketing is desirable.

·         Assist in other ad-hoc duties as required.



·         Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as multimedia or video and audio production.

·         Work experience 2 years+.

·         Familiarity with professional cameras, prosumer camcorders, various HD and SD formats, preproduction/planning, audio recording and editing, studio and field production, lighting/grip, scriptwriting, storyboarding and photography.

·         Skilled in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Powerpoint, and website CMS.

·         Attention to detail, accuracy and efficiency.

·         Link to online portfolio would be preferable.

·         Ability to multitask and strong organisational skills.

·         Professional demeanour, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with high-level dignitaries.

Application details:

The position, which is envisaged as a three-year post, will be reviewed after the initial period of one year and there is a standard three months probationary period.  Please state your availability in your cover letter.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
