About the Speaker:

Proinsias De Rossa, MEP, is the leader of the Labour Party delegation in the European Parliament. He chairs the Parliament’s Delegation for relations with the Palestinian Legislative Council. In April 2011 Mr. De Rossa led a cross-party EU fact-finding mission to the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

About the Speech: 

Proinsias De Rossa, MEP,  addressed a roundtable meeting on the Middle East Peace Process, entitled ‘What Does Israel Really Want?’. His remarks provided an insight into the context surrounding discussions on the Palestinian bid for statehood at the United Nations.
