About this Event:

On Monday 26 April 2010 John Bruton spoke to the IIEA Brussels Branch on the subject of "Transatlantic Relations: where are we and where are we going?" Having  served as the Ambassador of the European Union to the United States from 2004 until 2009 John was ideally placed to comment on how EU/US relations currently stand and how they are likely to develop over the coming years. John also took the opportunity to make insightful comments to the audience of over 100 members on the current challenges facing the EU, in particular the challenges resulting from the crisis in Greece and elsewhere in the eurozone. John also addressed the challenges the EU will face in a multi- polar world over the coming decades.
