About the Speech:

The expansion of social media is blurring the boundary between producers and consumers of information, and altering the dynamics of the relationship between governments and citizens. In his address, Mr. Schaefer discussed how Facebook, Twitter and other digital platforms are enabling users to exercise influence in new ways. He also examined the ways in which new online analytics tools allow this influence to be quantified.

About the Speaker:

Mark Schaefer is a globally-recognised blogger, educator, business consultant and author who blogs at {grow}. In 2012, he was named by Forbes magazine as one of the Top 50 social media “power influencers” of the world. He is Executive Director of U.S.-based Schaefer Marketing Solutions, which has provided consultancy services for the UK government, as well as a number of global brands and start-ups.
