About the Speaker:

Professor Zoltán Cséfalvay has been Minister of State at the Hungarian Ministry for National Economy since June 2010. He is a former Deputy State Secretary for the Economy and a former adviser to the President of the Hungarian Central Bank.

A distinguished academic, he has been Professor of Economic Geography at the Kodolányi János University since 2010 and was Professor at Andrássy Gyula University of Budapest between 2002 and 2010. He is a former recipient of a Humboldt Fellowship at the University of Heidelberg and of a Marie Curie fellowship at Cardiff University.

About the Speech:

Minister Cséfalvay will discuss the progress made on the EU’s ambitious competitiveness agenda and the relaunch of the Single Market under the Hungarian Presidency of the Union.

The IIEA wishes to acknowledge the support it has received from the European Commission throughout 2011.
