Energy and Climate Change Working Group Meeting

About the Speech:

Tom O’Mahony, Assistant Secretary-General in the Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government, addressed the meeting of the Energy & Climate Change Working Groups on the topic of The EU Cimate-Energy Legislative Package for 2020. Mr. O’Mahony outlined the broad parameters of the historic agreement reached at the European Council of December 12 2008 and subsequently endorsed by the European Parliament. He also assess the strategic implications for climate change policy development in Ireland in the period to 2020.
