About the Speech:

Dr. O’Connor provided an analysis of China’s 12th five-year plan, drawing on his extensive knowledge of the country, and captured the strategic importance of the plan in business, economic and political terms. This is the third in the IIEA’s series of addresses marking the publication of China’s 12th Five Year Plan. 

About the Speaker:

Dr. O’Connor is Founder and Chief Executive of Mainstream Renewable Power. He holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering and a Masters in Industrial Engineering and has a doctorate in Business Administration. In 2003, he was named World Energy Policy Leader by Scientific American magazine.  Dr. O’Connor is Secretary of the European Wind Energy Association and President of the Friends of the Supergrid.
