About the Speech:

Mr Skender Hyseni, Chief advisor to President Ibrahim Rugova of Kosovo, addressed the IEA on EU involvement in the province. Mr Hyseni emphasised the importance of resolving the status of Kosovo in ensuring economic development, arguing that uncertainty as to the province's future has hindered foreign investment and facilitated the growth of extremism. He also underscored Kosovo\'s desire to move toward European integration in the future.
