About the Speech:

This seminar convened a high-level panel of ministers, policy-makers and practitioners to discuss issues relating to freedom of expression, pluralism and maintaining journalistic standards. Discussion on these topics was particularly timely in the context of the publication of the report of the EU High Level Group on Media Freedom and Pluralism on 21 January 2013, and will feed into broader policy discussions during Ireland’s EU Presidency.
