Securing Peace in the Western Balkans with Garda Commissioner Kevin Carty, Head of the European Union Police Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina (EUPM), Major General Sean Brennan, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Irish Defence Forces and was chaired by Michael Gaffey, Director for South East Europe, Department of Foreign Affairs. At this seminar speakers provided insight into the implementation of EU security policy in the Western Balkans region through both civilian and military structures.
