About the Speech:

Mr Nick Witney, Chief Executive of the European Defence Agency, gave a keynote address at the Institute of European Affairs on the 8th September 2005. In his address, he set out some of the challenges facing European security and defence and explained the role of the Agency in helping to develop the EU\'s crisis management capabilities in the framework of the European Security and Defence Policy (ESDP).
