About the Speaker:

Paul Clements-Hunt is the Head of the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI), the largest and oldest partnership between the UN and the financial services sector, which counts 200 banks, insurance companies and investment firms as members. He was instrumental in the development of the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), which now represents more than USD 25 trillion in assets under management by 900 investors in 45 countries. He is a member of the UN special climate change panel on finance and investment and has lectured internationally on sustainable finance for over two decades.

About the Speech:

It is estimated that the private sector will have to deliver 85% of the finance for the global transition to a low-carbon economy. In his address, Paul Clements-Hunt will discuss the domestic and international policies needed to spur green investment by the private sector on such an unprecedented scale and will outline how the global finance industry is integrating climate risks and opportunities into investment decisions.
