About the Speaker:
 
Tom Driessen is the Deputy Director and Head of the Operations Department at Europol since November 2009. He is also a Member of the Netherlands Delegation to the Operational Taskforce of European Heads of Police, a Director of the National Crime Squad, and International Vice-President of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP).
 
About the Speech:


In his address to the Institute, Tom Driessen will focus on Europol’s role in the fight against illegal content on the Internet, and in particular on how Europol cooperates with law enforcement authorities across the EU on this issue.

This seminar is one of three Justice and Security group events on non-legislative measures against violent radical content on the Internet arranged by the IIEA in order to hear the views of experienced practitioners in the field of illegal Internet content.
