IIEA China Series - The 17th Chinese Communist Party Congress: Domestic and Foreign Policy Outcomes and their Impact

About the Speech:

On Friday 25 January 2008 at 12.45pm, Dr. Kerry Brown of the Asia Programme, Chatham House will share his extensive expertise in an address on the 17th Chinese Communist Party Congress, which took place in November 2007. He will examine the outcomes of the Congress, both of domestic and international significance and will evaluate China’s policy direction over the course of the next five years.

This is the first of three events in the IIEA\'s China Series. On Friday 8 February 2008, David O\'Sullivan, Director General for Trade, European Commission will address members on "The EU-China Trade Relationship: Priorities and Opportunities." 

On Wednesday 13 February 2008, Dr. Eddie O\'Connor, Founder and CEO of Airtricity will give a keynote address on "China\'s Resource Acquisition Policy."
