Professor Rodrigues addressed the topic “EU2020: Priorities and Challenges in the coming years.” The main focus of the EU2020 strategy is a smarter, greener social market, where prosperity and value will result from knowledge and innovation. The strategy aspires to address the key economic and social challenges facing the Union today.
 
About the Speaker:

Professor Rodrigues is a renowned and highly respected strategist and academic who was one of the principal architects of the Lisbon Strategy. She is an advisor on the EU2020 strategy to the European Commission President José Manuel Barroso and the Spanish Presidency of the European Council under the aegis of Prime Minister Zapatero. Professor Rodrigues is Professor of European Economic Policies at the Institute for European Studies, Université Libre de Bruxelles, and at the Lisbon University Institute (ISCTE-IUL).
