Environmental Tax Reform

About the Speech:

On Wednesday 20 June The IEA hosted an Environmental Taxation event with Maria Elena Scoppio, Member of Taxation Commissioner Kovacs’ Cabinet, and Sue Scott, Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI).

This event was particularly timely given the EU Commission’s public consultation on green taxation, open until 31 July, 2007, (part of a joint project by Commissioners Dimas and Kovacs) and also the forthcoming Competitiveness and Environmental Tax Reform - COMETR report which Sue Scott co-authored along with Mikael Skou Andersen and John Fitz Gerald.
