About the Speech:

This joint meeting of the Economist and Balkans Groups discussed the issue of Economic Cooperation in South-Eastern Europe with Mary O’Mahony, who is the co-ordinator for the Stability Pact's Trade Liberalisation initiative in South Eastern Europe. Her talk provided an overview of the achievements and challenges ahead for the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe, particularly the Working Table on Economic Co-operation. The Trade Initiative of the Stability Pact focuses its efforts on the liberalization and facilitation of trade through a regional approach to the reduction and elimination of tariffs and non tariff barriers to trade in the SEE region.
