About the Speaker:
 
Dr. Adam Segal is the Ira A. Lipman Senior Fellow for counterterrorism and national security studies at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), New York. He is an expert on security issues and currently leads study groups on cybersecurity and cyberconflict. Before working with the CFR, Dr. Segal was an arms control analyst for the China Project at the Union of Concerned Scientists where he wrote about missile defense, nuclear weapons, and Asian security issues. He has been a visiting scholar at the MIT’s Center for International Studies, the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, and Tsinghua University in Beijing.
 
About the Speech:

Dr. Adam Segal will address the Institute on international cyberspace governance and the US government’s recently launched International Strategy for Cyberspace. He will discuss the possibilities of establishing guidelines for international standards and priorities in this increasingly important area.
