"Balkans Group Roundtable"

About the Speech:

The Institute of International and European Affairs hosted a Balkans Group roundtable discussion with Dr. Driton Qehaja, Economic Advisor to the Kosovar Prime Minister Mr. Hashim Thaçi, who will give an update on the current situation in Kosovo.

As Economic Advisor to the Prime Minister, Dr. Qehaja is in a unique position to discuss the recent Kosovar declaration of independence and prospects for economic development in Kosovo. This is a very timely event given tense situation in the region and the imminent elections in neighbouring Serbia which could have a profound impact in Kosovo. As part of his visit to Ireland, Dr. Qehaja will also be briefing the European Affairs Committee in Dáil Eireann.
