About the Speech:
On Friday 24 October 2008 at 12:45 the IIEA hosted an address by Jeremy Willsmore, IBM UK, on ‘New Business Models and New Technologies in the Energy Industry’.
About the Speaker:
Mr. Willsmore has over 20 years of experience in the Energy and Utilities industry. He has held a number of leadership roles, both European and global, within IBM’s Industry Business Unit. For the past five years he has worked on a number of Smart Metering and Smart Grid projects within Europe, working with Energy companies and the European Commission.
In his address he will explore how attitudes to emerging energy and IT technologies, climate change and customer choice are combining to change the way that we use and produce energy. Furthermore he will explore how we can integrate ICT technologies into electricity grids to manage demand efficiently.
